Welcome the summer with a smile, and beat the heat with a cool healthy drink. Buttermilk is yummy for the tongue and cooling for the tummy. All time favorite drink to beat the heat and also quickly done.
Here goes the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 green chilli
- 1/2 cup yoghurt
- 1/4th cup water (adjust the consistency as required)
- 5-6 Mint leaves
- 1/2 tspn cumin powder
- Salt for taste
To make Buttermilk:
- In a grinder, add ginger, chilli, mint leaves and cumin powder and pulse it to crush and blend the ingredients.
- Add in the yohurt and water along with salt and pulse it again to mix well.
- Strain the buttermilk in to a glass to get rid of ground pieces. Garnish it with some mint leaves and cumin powder. Serve it with ice.
